Yoga Class Descriptions
Classes are ongoing and pre-registration is not required unless specified as a series.  *Pre-registration requested for series classes only.
The Smart Asana System (SAS) is a system of yoga that focuses on positive attitude, precise alignment and powerful actions to create a fun, dynamic yoga experience in order to empower       every individual.

Gentle Yoga - For those new to yoga or with therapeutic issues. Moves slowly and gently. You may attend this class with little or no yoga experience. Pregnant women welcome. Ongoing.

*Intro to Yoga 5-Class Series - Introductory class meets once per week for 5 consecutive weeks. Learn foundational yoga postures (asanas) and alignment, breathing practice (pranayama), meditation, deep relaxation (savasana), and basic yoga teachings. This class is progressive. If you want to attend our beginner or multi-level classes, we recommend the Intro Series first. The journey starts here.

Basics Yoga - The next step for graduates of Intro to Yoga. We focus on the basics, keep alignment principles and introduction of more challenging poses than the Gentle and Intro classes. This class is taught at a slower pace than the multi-level classes. Focus is on breath, alignment, and deepening awareness.  Ongoing.

Multi Level Yoga - For all levels of yoga experience. Asana variations are presented so that students may work at their individual level.  This class explores asana alignment, vinyasa flow, pranayama, meditation, deep relaxation and yogic teachings. Builds core strength, flexibility, and balance of body and mind. Beginner through advanced levels welcome; some previous yoga experience recommended.  Ongoing.

Kickin’ Asana - This is an intermediate/advanced instructor led practice. This class is more challenging than the Multi-Level class. You must have yoga experience and be familiar with yoga asanas. We strongly recommend that you are able to do handstand at the wall and urdhva danurasana to attend.
